ISA Bat Certification

Softball can be a very dangerous game and because of this many organizations try to make the game safer. One of the organizations is ISA, the independent Softball association. They have tried to make the game safer through stricter bat certifications. This certification measures how much power each bat has and then marks those that are illegal and legal. Older softball bats had no restrictions and because of this many bats were to powerful. The ISA certification tries to reduce the amount of energy the ball gains when it comes into contact with the bat. The main goal is to create metal bats with a performance more like wood.
